Falconry Experiences for the whole family

Group Sessions

Create incredible memories on one of our fully hands on, fun and informative experiences. You will be given a glove to use throughout each session (yes you become the falconer!) this gives you a unique opportunity to get up close and personal to our birds and to marvel as these majestic birds fly to your gloved hand.
You will be given ample opportunity to take lots of photographs and videos if you wish.We keep our group numbers small to enhance your experience.We have a covered flying area so our lovely british weather never becomes a problem. Our flying areas have seating, you won't need to stand for the entire session. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters can be used in the areas.

Bird of Prey Experience

3 1/2 Hours
Weekends | Usual start 1:00pm

This is the longest session we offer divided up into 1.5 hour flying, a half hour comfort break and a further 1.5 hour flying. You'll see, learn about and fly a variety of our Falcons, Hawks, Buzzards and Owls.

Throughout the session participants will take it in turns to step up to the flying points and be able to send and receive each bird. Please note the recommended minimum age is approximately 12 years old.

Afternoon with Owls

2.5 Hours
Weekends | Usual start 1:00pm

As the name suggests an interactive session dedicated to and for owl lovers. The session is run the same as our Bird of Prey Experience. one hour flying, a half hour comfort break and a further one hour flying. Please note the recommended minimum age is 8 years old.

An Evening with Owls

2 Hours
Midweek | Usual start 7:00pm

Exactly the same as the Afternoon with Owls but in the evening time. A straight through two hour session flying the same birds as the Afternoon with Owls.

Spectators are limited to 1 per participantAll the above sessions can also be purchased as a private session, this means it will be yourself/your group and the falconer, these sessions are bespoke and tailored to suit you.

Please be aware to book a private session you need a minimum of 2 participants (if this is not possible for you, please contact us to discuss) These sessions are usually held mid week, we have a very limited number of weekends available, start times can vary to suit your needs.

Meet the Owls

1 - 11/2 Hours

These are solely private sessions aimed mainly for younger ages, people a little nervous about meeting/flying birds for the first time or individuals/groups with special needs. You will meet our smaller owls who will sit on the glove calmly, helping you to feel more relaxed. If participants are willing, we will fly a couple of smaller owls to you (but it is entirely up to you)

We had lots of time in our private session handling and flying the owls and hawks and meeting the new addition Bors, the beautiful 10 week old golden eagle! In terms of time spent with the birds, this exceeded our previous benchmarks, and the selection of species for us to see and fly was simply the most unexpected and varied thus far. From the Kookaburra through the collection of owls, the Peregrine Falcon, the Common Buzzard, and the Harris's Hawk right the way up to the 15lb Golden Eagle (try her on your arm), all were characters in their own right. There is a great selection of birds to see ranging in size from the huge Golden Eagle and Eagle Owl to the Little Owl. Sept 2023 • FriendsWe had a fantastic afternoon meeting and flying some amazing birds of prey. In total we saw 11 different species of owls and raptors, including a buzzard and European eagle owl. It's a packed afternoon and as there's only a small group of 10 people, everyone gets to hold/fly each bird 3-4 times with plenty of opportunities for photos. Alice and her Dad are incredibly knowledgeable and it's clear to see how much they care for these beautiful birds. They give clear instructions and you quickly gain confidence in handling the birds. They were extremely helpful towards the lady in our group who was in a wheelchair, with appropriate adaptations for her. Jun 2023 • CouplesBrilliant! We went on the Birds of Prey experience and it was excellent. There are lots of different birds and you can handle them and fly them all. Alice, who runs ARD, does a lot of the show, ably assisted by her dad, who brings the birds and guides us idiot novices on how to handle them. She is so skilled and knowledgeable and gives very interesting commentary the whole time. We know a lot more about birds now, that's for sure. It's a remarkable experience being so close to such majestic creatures. It lasts about 3.5 hours altogether with half an hour break, so it's a great afternoon out. May 2023 • BusinessWow!! What can I say, Alice was fantastic to work with. I booked in for a photography event with the Birds and my models and between me keeping the models and photographers aware and happy, we had Alice and an employee keep us all informed with the Birds. We all felt very safe and could see the Birds were loved and not just worked. All communication with Alice has been fantastic. 10/10 recommend. We really appreciated all the knowledge, care and good humour that Alice and her Dad put into this experience, the afternoon flew by (no pun intended). The welfare and comfort of the birds was given top priority and the love the owners have for the owls was a joy to see. We were in a group session, and we were all given lots of time handling and flying the owls with plenty of instruction given. We also had time to take photos with the owls. The whole thing was marvellous and we are already planning our next visit.
